7×13″ Snare with Tons of Pop and Tone

A funky 13″ snare drum that has tons of pop and tone. The 8ply maple of our Standard Series coupled with the 7″ depth and 13″ diameter creates a full bodied snare drum that has a tighter attack and warm tone. Finished in our Natural Satin Oil on a beautiful shell we chose with some slight curly figuring. All chrome hardware including full length solid brass tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops for a more open tone, and an RCK throwoff.

6.5×14″ Studio Series Birch Snare

A prime example of our Studio Series snare drum which is an all 100% Birch 8ply shell with our dual 45 rounded top bearing edges and smooth snare beds. Our birch shells are slightly more focused than maple as they are more boosted mid tones and have a more controlled sound. The lack of extreme high end or excess of overtones creates a snare sound that is great under the microphone or in any studio. Many of our Studio Series Birch drum customers have raved about their versatility as you can play these drums live or in the studio just fine. This drum is finished in our natural satin oil with all chrome hardware, including full length tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and a RCK throwoff.

3pc Super Light Traveling Bop Kit

We built this kit for Joe Glaser of the band Alma Desnuda, a very eclectic band that is passionate and soulful in spreading great music and energy. Joe had specifically asked for a light weight gigging kit as they are on tour most days of the year and with smaller sizes as he plays a hybrid kit of percussion instruments and drums while sitting on a cajon drum instead of a drum throne. We built this kit using our Standard Series maple shells in smaller sizes as they would have a rounded, full tone and wide tuning range. Also we used the lightest parts available while also being highly durable and functional so that kit could be easily transported across the US and travel overseas on tour. Sizes include 8×12″ tom, 12×14″ tom, 14×18″ kick drum. Hardware includes 1″ mini tube lugs for minimal shell contact and durability, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, DSS suspension mounts, heavy duty round brackets, and vintage style folding spurs as they are a third the weight of standard pro spurs. We also later made a matching 5.5×14″ Standard Series 8ply maple snare.

6×14″ Natural Satin Oil Birdseye Maple

A killer looking and sounding snare drum. We used our Players Series 10ply maple shell, added a beautifully figured exotic birdseye veneer, added 6ply maple reinforcement rings and finished in a silky smooth natural satin oil. The 6×14″ shell is a versatile size and the added reinforcement rings creates a cutting sound that is ultra sensitive and plenty of high end and low end. We have done a few of these types of the shells as customers and their friends specifically request this combo. Full length chrome over solid brass tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and a RCK throwoff top of this snare build.

8×14″ Natural Maple Satin Oil 10ply

An ever popular size that is making a comeback. This 8×14″ Players Series all maple 10ply shell has everything you want from a big snare drum. The extra depth adds a thumping sound with the crack of the 10ply shell creates the perfect blend. This drum actually has a ton of versatility and can be tuned way low or up tight for a more traditional snare sound with plenty of volume and tone. Pictured here in our natural satin oil finish with full length chrome over solid brass tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and a Trick multi-step throwoff.

5×14″ Padauk & Maple Stave

The combination of 2 incredible woods for a drum. Padauk has a nice bite but naturally has a darker tone that is complimented with alternating staves of maple, a staple material choice for drums, which adds high end crack and warmth. The thin 3/8″ shell provides the most amount of low end body and resonance while retaining strength integrity. Stave drums have a bit more tone than a typical ply shell with a unique look. This 5×14″ snare features turret double ended lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and a Trick multi step throwoff.
