This is a curly maple solid single ply steambent shell with maple single ply reinforcement rings that is stained Dark Walnut and high glossed to perfection. We use a vintage style rounded bearing edge on our steam bent shells to offer more head to shell contact and fatter tone. The 6×13″ size really pops yet has a great versatility to it. All chrome hardware, including tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops and a Trick multi step throwoff.

A solid steam bent single ply shell of exotic rosewood drenched in our super high gloss with custom made Arc lugs, single flanged chrome over brass hoops, and a Nickelworks throwoff. We built this snare for 2010 Chicago Custom & Vintage Show contest held by DrumFoundry, where this drum competed with several others and judged by esteemed professional drummer Gavin Harrison from the influential band Porcupine Tree. This drum finished 2nd place and we were proud our drum got sent in to the show.
The single flanged hoops with clips opens up the drum a bit with a soft touch and deeper tone. The hoops along with the solid rosewood shell create a vintage tone that has killer dynamics!
A highly figured curly maple solid steambent single ply shell with matching curly maple reinforcement rings. This 5×14″ snare is finished in our natural high gloss with all black nickel hardware, including full length tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops for a full and open tone, and a Trick multi step throwoff. Solid steambent shells have a ton of body and natural wood tone as they utilize less glue and all solid wood compared to standard ply shells. We install a rounded 45 degree bearing edge that produces a rounder, fuller tone and a subtle muffling as solid shells typically have more high end ring and bearing edge eliminates excess ring. A sweet drum that sounds great live or recorded.
