6×14″ Natural Satin Oil Birdseye Maple

A killer looking and sounding snare drum. We used our Players Series 10ply maple shell, added a beautifully figured exotic birdseye veneer, added 6ply maple reinforcement rings and finished in a silky smooth natural satin oil. The 6×14″ shell is a versatile size and the added reinforcement rings creates a cutting sound that is ultra sensitive and plenty of high end and low end. We have done a few of these types of the shells as customers and their friends specifically request this combo. Full length chrome over solid brass tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and a RCK throwoff top of this snare build.

Solid Shell Rosewood Snare w/ Custom Lugs

A solid steam bent single ply shell of exotic rosewood drenched in our super high gloss with custom made Arc lugs, single flanged chrome over brass hoops, and a Nickelworks throwoff. We built this snare for 2010 Chicago Custom & Vintage Show contest held by DrumFoundry, where this drum competed with several others and judged by esteemed professional drummer Gavin Harrison from the influential band Porcupine Tree. This drum finished 2nd place and we were proud our drum got sent in to the show.

The single flanged hoops with clips opens up the drum a bit with a soft touch and deeper tone. The hoops along with the solid rosewood shell create a vintage tone that has killer dynamics!

3.5×14″ Golden Amber Piccolo

One of a few of these piccolo snares that we have built in this size and have turned into a popular drum. The 3.5×14″ size and Players Series 10ply maple shell create a quick high end crack sound with a dry pop. Stained in a Golden Amber satin finish with all chrome hardware. Double ended mini 1″ tube lugs, a high quality die cast piccolo throwoff and butt plate, and 2.3mm triple flanged hoops.

7×14″ Bubinga & Maple Stave Snare

We combined two very popular woods made for their great drum tone to create a unique and powerful snare drum. With our vast array of solid woods to choose for your stave shells, we can mix or combine any choice as each wood type has a different tone, projection and attack. Bubinga is sonically a darker and deeper sound than maple which is already warm with plenty of tone and tuning range. This shell with alternating staves is a very deep sounding and well rounded snare drum with a bit more darker attack and lower tone. Finished in our natural satin oil topcoat paired with our unique satin chrome hardware, including full length tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, a Trick multi step throwoff, Puresound snare wires and Remo drumheads. This was the second CT drum built for GRADY SAXMAN, a very busy drummer in Nashville, TX.

3.5×14″ Natural High Gloss Snare

A cool piccolo snare drum that has a very quick sound with a nice dry pop. For these 3.5×14″ snares we will typically use a 10ply maple shell as it adds better high end tone and added sensitivity. They also have a surprisingly wide tuning range as well. Tune up for a quick high pitched crack or tune low for a fatter dry slap snare sound. Finished in our ultra high gloss lacquer and dressed in all chrome hardware, including double ended mini 1″ tube lugs, a die cast throwoff and butt plate, and 2.3mm triple flanged hoops.

5.5×14″ Maple 10ply Silver Glass Glitter

A Players Series maple 10ply shell wrapped in our popular silver glass glitter and chrome hardware. The silver glass glitter really shines under stage lights and pick up the stage lights beautifully. This 5.5×14″ size creates a versatile drum and the thicker 10ply shell adds tons of crack and sensitivity. All chrome hardware matches the silver glass stunningly, including full length solid brass tube lugs, the added die cast hoops for better rimshots, a RCK throwoff, and German brass snare wires.

5×14″ Carbon FIber / Maple Hybrid

A unique prototype shell that is a custom made hybrid of a 5ply maple shell and inner layer of finished carbon fiber. The super thin maple shell has a ton of open tone and body with the most resonance possible, while the added carbon fiber adds volume and shell strength integrity as carbon fiber is super light weight yet highly durable. This snare is bit more powerful and a touch louder than our Standard Series all maple 8ply snare, also a touch brighter and clearer sounding sensitivity. A unique design that progress into more sizes, 14″ diameter available in any depth. This shell has beautiful grain so it was finished in our natural high gloss lacquer with chrome hardware, including solid brass full length tube lugs, a Trick multistep throwoff, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and Puresound wires.
