7×14″ Solid Segment Purpleheart

Pimp = purple and gold for sure. A killer segmented shell of solid exotic wood Purpleheart in natural high gloss lacquer. Yup, no stains or dyes used, leave it up to mother nature to create this naturally beautiful wood. Coupled with all brass hardware really makes the colors pop. This a 7×14″ shell for extra depth and tone which is already enhanced by the 1/2″ thick solid wood segments. It includes full length tube lugs, Trick multi step throwoff, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, Remo drumheads and our new phosphorous bronze 20 strand snare wires.

6×13″ Segment Wenge & Bloodwood Snare

A custom shell we worked on for a repeat customer. This shell is a 6×13″ segment solid wood that is 9/16″ thick made of exotic Wenge with a Bloodwood center stripe. Segment shells are constructed much like a brick pattern that utilize solid wood pieces, much like our Stave Shells but in a different construction. We hosed the shell down with a ton super high gloss clear coat and buffed to a perfect mirror-like finish. The snare is dressed with all brass hardware including full length tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, P86 throwoff and butt plate, and remo drumheads w/ german snare wires.

5×14″ Smooth Black Nickel Over Brass

We built this snare drum for CHRISTIAN CANALITA, a local teacher and drummer for the country-rock singer JESSICA CAYLYAN. A 5×14″ smooth black nickel over brass shell that creates that warm brass snare sound with that extra bite. The added die cast hoops help focus the extra overtones while adding bolder rimshots and cross-stick sounds. All chrome hardware includes full length solid brass tube lugs x10, a vintage style P-86 throwoff and German brass snare wires. A killer sound drum for any collection, especially to fill that metal snare drum void.

6.5×14″ Solid Steambent Sycamore Snare

A crazy unique wood with unbelievable grain. One of our solid single ply steambent drum shells custom made out of solid sycamore wood with matching sycamore reinforcement rings instead of typical maple rings. This snare drum has a ton of body with a similar tone to maple but a bit deeper note. It has a soft touch with plenty of sensitivity yet plenty of volume. One of our favorite sounding snare drums to date. Finished in our super high gloss clear coat that is buffed to a perfection over natural sycamore. Dressed with all brass hardware, including solid brass full length tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, P86 vintage throwoff and a matching brass and black plated CT name badge.

Super Deep Black Brass Snare

Looking for that big snare sound? Nothing touches the sound of brass unless it’s an 8×14″ smooth black nickel over brass. A super deep brass drum that is rarely seen in this size, especially for our price. Brass shells typically have great projection and a louder volume than compared to a similar sized wood shell. The brass will ring out more creating a big, fat sound when tuned lower or a tighter, bright crack when tuned up. The extra deep 8″ shell delivers a deeper bottom end and thump. All top of the line chrome hardware includes chrome over solid brass tube lugs, Trick multi step throwoff, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, german snare wires and Remo drumheads.

Solid Shell Rosewood Snare w/ Custom Lugs

A solid steam bent single ply shell of exotic rosewood drenched in our super high gloss with custom made Arc lugs, single flanged chrome over brass hoops, and a Nickelworks throwoff. We built this snare for 2010 Chicago Custom & Vintage Show contest held by DrumFoundry, where this drum competed with several others and judged by esteemed professional drummer Gavin Harrison from the influential band Porcupine Tree. This drum finished 2nd place and we were proud our drum got sent in to the show.

The single flanged hoops with clips opens up the drum a bit with a soft touch and deeper tone. The hoops along with the solid rosewood shell create a vintage tone that has killer dynamics!
